Does the ID Tag provide GPS tracking or health tracking?

No. The ID Tag is an ID tag only, it does not provide live GPS tracking or health tracking. Those features are provided by the ASK A VET™ Premium GPS, Health & Training Tracker included in this bundle.

Does the the person who finds my animal and scans the tag need the Ask A Vet app to contact me?

No. A finder can scan the QR code or tap NFC (on compatible phones) to open your pet’s ID profile instantly. No app is needed for the finder. They will see a specific URL or web page for you pet and the information you provide to contact you and keep them safe.

Why include both the Tracker and the ID Tag if the tracker has a Lost Pet ID screen?

Because it’s layered recovery. The tracker’s touchscreen ID is great, but the separate tag is always visible, scan-ready and no battery required. Even if the GPS tracker battery is flat, the collar shifts, or someone notices the tag first. It’s a simple backup that can speed up contact.

Is there a subscription fee for the ID Tag?
