Keep the schedule current
Never miss a due date again
ASK A VET™ keeps this whole schedule for every pet you own — vaccines, worming, heartworm, fleas and ticks — with automatic reminders, medical history and certified vet chat when something's not right. This builder is a snapshot; the app keeps it current.
Download ASK A VET todayThis tool is general education, not a diagnosis or a substitute for your own vet. Vaccination and parasite protocols vary by individual pet, health status, local disease risk, product and law. Rabies requirements in particular are set by local legislation. Always confirm your pet's plan with your treating veterinarian.
How your schedule is built
The date of birth does most of the work. It gives your pet’s age today, and with it the life stage the plan is written for — the primary series for a puppy or kitten, then adolescent, adult and senior — and every date below is counted from that birthday rather than from a generic calendar.
“Where do you live?” then picks the protocol: it decides whether rabies is a routine requirement where you live or a travel-only vaccine, and which parasites are worth covering year-round. Each box you tick under “Lifestyle & environment” adds cover on top of the core list — boarding and daycare add kennel cough, rural or standing water adds leptospirosis, a tick area prioritises tick prevention, and a multi-pet household brings the contagious-disease vaccines into view.
What do the status labels in the table mean?
Every date is compared with today. More than a month away is “Upcoming”, inside the next 30 days is “Due soon”, a date already past is “Overdue”, and a date more than two weeks past is “Window passed” — an early-life dose whose window has closed, which your vet will want to plan a catch-up for rather than simply give late.
What if the vaccination history is missing?
Tick “History unknown or never vaccinated”. With no reliable records the schedule treats your pet as unprotected and starts a fresh primary course from today, and it says so on the result. Your vet may prefer a titre test for some diseases instead of repeating a course — ask before you book.
How exact are the booster dates?
For an adult pet they are estimates. The builder counts them from the birthday because that is the only date it has; the real anchor is the date of the last vaccination on record, so move them to match your vet’s history where the two differ.
