GPS tracker comparison

Invoxia Biotracker vs Ask A Vet GPS Tracker

A dog health tracker with GPS and a GPS tracker with vets in the app, side by side.

Invoxia facts checked

The short answer

Both give dogs live GPS tracking and safe zones with escape alerts on a paid plan, plus activity and sleep insights. What decides it is health data or vets. Invoxia states its Biotracker measures resting heart rate, breathing rate and heart rate variability, and its free Basic plan keeps heart and breathing readings over Bluetooth. The Ask A Vet GPS Tracker adds vets in the same app (with Premium), a touchscreen, training sounds and a QR pet ID, works in 46 countries, and fits cats over 4 kg too.

The difference

Which one fits your pet?

Where the Ask A Vet GPS Tracker is different

Certified vets in the same app

With Premium you get unlimited AI Vet chat, 2 certified vet chats a month and discounted telehealth video calls, in the app that holds your pet’s tracker data. Invoxia’s pages let you send readings to your own vet, and we found no vet chat on them.

Live GPS in more countries

The Ask A Vet GPS Tracker works in 46 countries. Invoxia’s help center lists 9 countries it officially supports for live GPS, and its product page states coverage in over 30.

A screen that travels with your dog

When a friend, sitter or family member takes the leash, alerts like a medication reminder or leaving a safe zone pop up on the collar, so the information travels with your dog instead of staying on your phone. It also shows daily stats at a glance, from steps to sleep.

Training sounds on the collar

Play a clicker, whistle or Come Back tone on the collar from the app, or a vibration cue nearby, and pair it with recall, mealtimes and quiet time. Invoxia’s pages list a buzzer for finding your dog nearby, but no training sounds.

An ID whoever finds your pet can scan

The Ask A Vet GPS Tracker has a built-in QR pet ID. A finder scans it with a phone camera, no app needed, and Lost mode alerts you when it is scanned. Invoxia’s pages do not list a finder ID.

One tracker for dogs and cats

The Ask A Vet GPS Tracker fits dogs and cats over 4 kg. Invoxia states the Biotracker is supported for dogs only, and that its health readings are not valid for cats.

Where Invoxia Biotracker may suit you better

  • You want heart and breathing rate

Invoxia states the Biotracker measures resting heart rate, heart rate variability and resting breathing rate, and looks for early signs of atrial fibrillation. The Ask A Vet GPS Tracker does not measure them.

  • You don’t want a subscription

Invoxia’s Basic plan is free and keeps the heart, breathing, sleep and activity readings, synced over Bluetooth when your phone is near. Live GPS needs its Max GPS plan, and the Ask A Vet GPS Tracker always needs the Tracker Plan or Premium.

  • Your vet wants the readings

Invoxia lets you send your vet a one-click PDF report, or invite them to its Biotrack Vet platform to follow your dog’s data between visits.

If certified vets in the same app, live GPS in more countries, a screen that shows alerts to whoever has the leash, or one tracker for dogs and cats matter more to you, the Ask A Vet GPS Tracker is the better fit.

Questions

Invoxia Biotracker or Ask A Vet GPS Tracker: your questions

Answers about Invoxia are taken from Invoxia’s own pages, read on 27 October 2026.

Where does the Invoxia Biotracker work?

Invoxia’s product page says coverage reaches over 30 countries, and its help center lists 9 it officially supports for live GPS. Without live GPS, its Basic and Plus plans sync over Bluetooth when your phone is nearby. The Ask A Vet GPS Tracker works in 46 countries: check yours on the tracker page.

Does the Invoxia Biotracker need a subscription?

Not for its Basic plan: Invoxia states it needs no payment and keeps resting heart and breathing rate, sleep and activity, with positions synced over Bluetooth when your phone is near. Live GPS, escape alerts and remote syncing need its Max GPS plan. The Ask A Vet GPS Tracker always needs a plan, Ask A Vet’s Tracker Plan or Premium, and Ask A Vet Premium also includes vet chat and discounted telehealth video calls.

Does the Invoxia Biotracker have vet chat?

We found no vet chat or telehealth on Invoxia’s product, plan or help pages. Invoxia lets you send your own vet a PDF report or invite them to its Biotrack Vet platform, and its Ask your dog feature is an AI that answers in your dog’s voice from the collar’s data. With Ask A Vet Premium, the AI Vet and certified vets are in the same app as your tracker.

Does the Invoxia Biotracker measure heart rate?

Invoxia states the Biotracker measures resting heart rate, heart rate variability and resting breathing rate while your dog rests, and looks for early signs of atrial fibrillation. Its help center says a health alert is not a diagnosis but a signal that may prompt a visit to the vet. The Ask A Vet GPS Tracker does not measure heart rate: it tracks activity, sleep, barking and temperature, and with Premium you can ask a vet about anything you see.

Can I use the Invoxia Biotracker on a cat?

Invoxia states the Biotracker is designed, tested and officially supported for dogs only, and that its activity and health readings are not reliable or valid for cats. The Ask A Vet GPS Tracker is one tracker for dogs and cats over 4 kg.

Why does the Ask A Vet GPS Tracker have a screen?

Dogs don’t always head out with the person who has the app. When a friend, sitter or family member takes the leash, the screen shows them important alerts directly: a medication reminder, leaving a safe zone, a temperature warning or a lost-pet alert, with a chime. The screen also shows daily stats at a glance, from steps to sleep. Invoxia’s pages do not list a screen on the Biotracker.

Can I ring the tracker or change its sounds and light?

Invoxia’s Nearby feature rings a buzzer on the Biotracker and lights its LED when your phone is within Bluetooth range. The Ask A Vet GPS Tracker plays eight tones on the collar, lights up in any colour you choose with the colour picker, solid or rainbow, and plays your own short sounds, such as your voice. It also plays training tones like a clicker, a whistle and Come Back, for recall, mealtimes and quiet time.

Can someone who finds my dog contact me?

The Ask A Vet GPS Tracker has a built-in QR pet ID: a finder scans it with a phone camera, no app needed, and Lost mode alerts you when it is scanned. Invoxia’s pages do not list a finder ID on the Biotracker. Either way, keep your dog microchipped and wearing an ID tag.

How do I switch from the Invoxia Biotracker?

Set up the Ask A Vet GPS Tracker in the Ask A Vet app: it pairs over Bluetooth, then you add your pet and choose a plan. Your Invoxia zones and history do not move across, so draw your safe zones again. Cancel any Invoxia plan with Invoxia.
