Whether you're planting a balcony herb garden or a full backyard landscape, knowing which plants are safe—or toxic—for pets is essential. Many common flowers, shrubs, and greenery can cause anything from mild stomach upset to fatal poisoning in dogs and cats. 🌱🐕🐈

🚨 Poisonous Plants That Can Kill or Seriously Harm Pets

These plants contain toxins that can damage internal organs or cause neurological or cardiac symptoms in dogs and cats:

  • Azalea: Grayanotoxins; vomiting, diarrhea, cardiovascular collapse 😱
  • Castor Bean: Contains ricin; convulsions, coma, death ☠️
  • Cyclamen: Root toxins can cause arrhythmias and severe GI distress 💔
  • Daffodil: Bulbs are highly toxic; can trigger tremors and heart issues 💀
